JIZŌ — Kukicha, tea for a moment of respite
Jizō is the guardian of travelers and those seeking peace, just like our Kukicha. This unique tea, made from stems and twigs, delights with a light, subtly sweet taste and an almost milky aroma. It contains a minimal amount of caffeine, so you can drink it at any time of day, even in the evening. Delicate, harmonious, perfect for a moment of respite.
Kukicha, also known as "twig tea," is a unique type of green tea that, instead of classic leaves, consists of green tea stems. In Japanese, "kuki" means twig, and "cha" means tea — hence its name. It is a tea with a unique flavor profile: delicate, fresh, slightly nutty, with a subtle milky note. Due to its low caffeine content, it is often chosen as a late afternoon or evening drink, and in Japan, it is also served to children.
